    Best/Worst A/C Performance in a car?

The best was my dad's old 1965 Oldsmobile ninety eight. It would get so cold you could scrape frost off the air conditioner vent outlets. It was the Fridgader type not sure if I spelled it correctly. The worst is my 2012 Honda Civic which works ok but when it's really hot it's just good...

    INTERSTATE Deep Cycle Marine Battery

I would sell it. Battery maintainers have a way of shutting on and off all the time and that is no reason to believe it's not a good battery. You probably won't get a whole lot of money for it due to the age but someone with a boat or other use could certainly get some good use out of it. I...

    *Investors Blog*

Too many naysayers on this. What does the market do historically? It goes up. If you don't need the money keep it in the market.

    Ethanol vs ethanol free gas

I have a 2007 Lund Type Grand Sport with a 115 hp 4 stroke. I used to run premium but changed over to the 10% alcohol because the manual states it is ok. I have owned the boat for since 2013 and have had zero issues with bad gasoline. I do use Stabil when I store it in the off season which is...

    2019 F150 - Owners Manual says 200K or 10 years for coolant - Reasonable?

I would change it since it's inexpensive and easy. It will be pretty dark looking if you go to far. I change mine about every 2 years but I plan on keeping my 2014 F-150 for quite a while since it gets driven mainly highway miles to and from the river. I have only 82,000 miles on it.

Over 70 and still wrenching your own vehicles

I will be 70 in August and still do a lot of various mechanical repairs and maintenance. I actually have to do more fix it repairs on my boat than on my vehicles and do most of those things myself. I am going to help my son replace the oil filter housing which is cracked on his Jeep. Fluid...

Rav4 is globally no. 1 again

Very nice. My wife and I really like our 2024 Rav 4 hybrid. I think people like to buy Toyota's for their high reliability rankings.

Sad Day. Selling all my beer making equipment

Beer making is a good hobby but it sounds like it's time to move on. Homemade beer is really good if done correctly.

Thanks for the C&P. Too bad the filter was in such questionable condition. Pretty nice cutter for the money.

    Celsius Live Fit

I buy a lot of Celsius from Costco. It's about a buck a can and I buy the powder packs too. I drink one or two per day.

    Why I mostly eat meat.

I eat a lot of grilled meats including BBQ ribs, pork loin, beef tenderloin, ground beef, chicken wings and breasts. I also eat a lot of BLT's in season with my own cured and smoked bacon. I also like baked beans, potato salad and Cole slaw. I eat all kinds of foods including pizza and tacos...

How old can tires safely be run?

Yes, 6 or 7 years. On the tire it states DOT then two numbers. DOT 1022 would be a production date of October 2022.

Costco: stores open for exec. tier 1 hr early, starting Jun 30

I went to Costco a couple days ago and talked to one of the representatives. I was told they will sell a lot more upgrades to executive memberships. That's fine with me since the Costco stock that I have has increased nicely!

Costco: stores open for exec. tier 1 hr early, starting Jun 30

Actually if you are talking about the Costco points or rewards you can get cash and do not have to spend it in their store. You obtain that refund around your anniversary date every year. I usually get about $350 cash back every year and my wife has her own card and she obtains about the same...

Financial graphic comparison of buying a new or used car

This is a little different perspective however I bought a beautiful 69 Corvette when I was 21 and could barely afford the payments. The car was a much larger enjoyment to me than having a used one today or even a brand new one. Sometimes people buy vehicles when they are young and just want...
