Doing the rinse phase of Auto-rx using 10W-40 dino for the first time in my Audi 2.2 T engine. Since colder days are up I'm a little worried. At what ambient temperature would you consider a 10W-40 too thick? Answers > 32F will not be considered

The transmission in my Audi uses G 052 162 A2 which is Esso LT-71141. This oil is impossible to find except from the dealer. Are there any other ATF out there that I can use as replacement without harming the transmission?

10W-30 isn't thicker than 5W-30 at operating temperature. It's only thicker when you start your vehicle and you don't want that?! If you can find Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40, it's more or less equal to T&SUV.

I thought I just drive the car good and warm and then put it in the garage. I'll clean it inside and out, fill the tank and put a little extra in the tires. More I need to do before shutting it down??

Had to refill antifreeze tonight but Audi/VW/Skoda/SEAT dealer had closed for the day. My car used G12+ fluid before but is now mixed with 50% BASF G30 (50/50 G30/water). No problem whatsoever and a bonus was that G30 costs 1/3 of the VW G12+.

Oil had been in the engine 10 years. Never changed, only topped off (SAE 30). Machine is used 15 hours a year. Oil was like syrup even after a 10 minutes warm up period. Now the B & G enjoys new synthetic oil, a new spark plug and a clean air filter. Maybe it will last 10 more years

I'm using this oil in my 2005 Opel Astra 1.8 (Ecotec). Is it equal to SAAB's turbo oil?
