Jeep Wrangler 4.0 with Mobile Conventional?

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0. I bought it last year with 73K miles on it. My first oil change I went with mobile full synthetic 10W-30 because that is the brand oil I have used for years now in my vehicles. It might be in my head but the slight leak at me rear main seal seemed to...

OCI for my 2009 Tacoma using Mobile 1??

Factory recommended OCI is 5K miles or 6 months. I changed my oil with Mobile 1 5W-20 and a mobile 1 filter December 1st meaning June 1st will be 6 months. However I have only put about 2800 miles on the truck in that time. Should I stick with the 6 month rule or am I safe with the Mobile 1 to...

I just purchased a 2007 Tacoma last night with the 2.7 Four Cylinder engine. In the scheduled service manual is shows the first oil change at 5K miles. I am having a hard time believing that on a brand new engine. I would have though you would have to chnage at 500-1000 miles the first time...

    Mixing different weight oils??

I ran castrol gtx 10W-40 in my 5.0 powered '87 mustang during the winter this year. I only ended up putting a few hundred miles on it though since I have another daily driver. Now that it is summer and getting very hot out (today it was 98* with 92% humidity) I drained the oil and poured in 4...

First post on this board need help choosing a brand and weight of oil

Ok I have a 1987 Mustang GT with the 5.0 V8 engine. I am wondering what you guys would recommend running in it. I live in the south and see temps in the 20's during winter and high 90's-100 in the summer. It has a slight rearmain seal leak so I would prefer to stick with dino oil for cost reasons.
