    Kubota Hydrostat - what range?

I've had hydros get so hot working, when unhooked, they barely move the tractors under their own power. Keep em'cool and change the fluid regularly. Again, high rpm, low gear, light pedal position...if possible. Experience with:B3011 Kabota compact tractor 46hp John Deere compact tractor 1970s...

'13 Tundra - TRD or Amsoil filter vs. OEM

The main filter is basically a rock catcher...the bypass part is a round super dense disk. Look it up, it's really cool how they did it.

'13 Tundra - TRD or Amsoil filter vs. OEM

Hal, No sir. I was told by a rep that it is 80% @25-40 micron and 96% @5 micron. It is a bypass type oil filter with a regular element. Two filters in one.

'13 Tundra - TRD or Amsoil filter vs. OEM

If you are wanting particle removal, look into a Microgreen oil filter. There were tests on this site comparing it to a K&N oil filter. The MG had over 50% less particles tested in the oil. That's why I run them. Great filters but a bit pricey. Worth it. Use a good quality oil, PP is good. You...

    Kubota Hydrostat - what range?

Alex, In my experience, with a little 3011 tractor, low range and rev'ed high produced the least slippage and ran cooler than high range light throttle, which produced the most slippage and heat. Change the fluid often, they can run super hot when under load like dragging a plow. Similar to a...

Synthetic oils cause more cylinder wear?

Honestly I don't know. 10w40 in Texas, while not ideal I'm sure, should have been ok. I'm guessing it had to do with air filtration. He would use compressed air to blow out the filter. Never could talk him out of doing it. I'd say the compressed air punched holes in the filter letting dirt in...

    Want to switch to synthetic

Those engines aren't picky. I would run Valvoline synpower 5w30 year round. I'm in Waco and it never gets cold here. Broc, he mentioned Valvoline, I assume the synthetic he wants to run is Synpower, a Group III,hydrocracked oil.

    Want to switch to synthetic

Go for it, no flush really needed. I would just follow the monitor with any name brand synthetic of your choice.
