Oh, I read that as FILTER port. Sorry.

OK, thanks. A smiley face would have been helpful though. :)

Where exactly is the oil filter port or baffle? I'd like to see that picture if you could link to it.

And that would tell us what?

That's true, all we can say is something loosened some carbon particles from somewhere. My guess would be the oil rings, but no way to tell.

Wow that sure is cleaning out some carbon chunks for you!

Oh yeah, not sure if I can attribute this to the Valvoline Restore and protect, but this is great fuel economy for a full/mid sized sedan: This is steady state 60 mph on Florida flat road. Not too shabby.

After 8 months of running this experiment, I removed the oil filter to check for additional carbon particles. No additional cleaning or particles were found at all. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, since the filter looked almost new! Under Valve cover is very clean as well...

Favorite sections of my favorite driving road

I think I could get myself in some serious trouble on that road. That brown is just ugly though, I could never live there.

What are you doing right now?

If you care to drive to Raleigh NC, I know a guy that needs to get rid of $10,000 dollars worth of tools and boxes!

What are you doing right now?

Installed a new Kamui Clear/Black soft tip on a pool cue that I'm fixing up for my brother. Carbon fiber cue, but I've had it for years and noplace/nobody to shoot with down here. He just had his pool table re-covered with Simonis 860 cloth and is loving it. So I thought I'd make it a gift for him.

Magnefine Vs Amazon Clone cut pics

Actually, that spring IS the bypass valve. The whole filter media will move away, allowing some flow if plugged. That depends on the direction of flow of course.

    Jeep Death Wobble observed

Is this usually worn parts, or an alignment problem? Jeeps are not the best highway vehicles to begin with so this had to be scary for the driver!

Defective Delco Gold PF659 Land Rover LR4

Those O rings appear to be exactly the same size to me. Maybe just a hurried installation on the AC Delco one, or no lube on the O ring prior to installation.

Wix 49883 vs Premium Guard Highflow PA5642x (discussion also about Motorcraft FA1883)

The picture on the outside of the box certainly seems deceptive. Showing the deep thick media, as opposed to what you actually get. BUT, IT'S RED, so it has to go faster.

Are those Sunchokes? Looks like you'll have plenty for Thanksgiving dinner! Very tasty root crop.

I can't work on my cars anymore.

Very true. I'm just wondering about the ultra low vis fluid for the Mercedes. I don't think it's too common an item. I'll prob just take it to the dealership (cringe).
