Just Changed to Super Tech Advanced, Now Have Noisy Startup

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, 3.6L Pentastar V6, 107K. I just changed my oil to the Super Tech Advanced 5w-20. I am noticing loud valve noise on startup now. I Usually use Pennzoil Platinum or Havoline Lifelong Synthetic and a Jeep OEM filter. The filter is a cartridge style on top of the engine...

Metal Flakes / Particles in Oil,

The dealer ended up replacing the cam phasers, gears and camshafts on the driver side. One or both of the cam shafts had some flat spots which the mechanic had never seen before. I'm not sure why the cam phasers went bad in the first place.

    Mitsubishi 3.0 V6 Valve Cover

Wow impressive! Are the new Mitsubishi 3.0L's just as good? Does that engine require premium or regular gas?

Metal Flakes / Particles in Oil,

Well guys, I can now think of two scenarios: 1) The engine is shedding fine flakes of metal for some reason and it is not showing up in the used oil analysis because the particles are too large and there is an absence of "dissolved" wear metal. 2) Around 48,000 miles ago, before even the...

    2013 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L Pentastar 50K

Well guys, I found fine metal particles in my oil when I changed it. However, the UOA is showing something different. Is there any reason why they wouldn't show up here? Here is a link to my other post: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4373978#Post4373978 Thank You

Metal Flakes / Particles in Oil,

Thanks kschachn, so it is possible they did not show up since they were not "dissolved" in the oil?

Metal Flakes / Particles in Oil,

Hi Everyone, 2013 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L Pentastar V6 - So... the last time I changed the oil, about 4,300 miles ago, I noticed metal flakes in the drain pan. I figured they were from one of my lawn mowers. But, when I changed the oil yesterday, I cleaned the plastic drain tub very well so I would...
