    GM 22" refillable wiper blades

Ordered a set from our Motorcraft/ACDelco supplier to try on the Silverado. They look very nice, way nicer than a lot of other offerings on the market. The little flap on the j-hook reminds me of some of the Mazda wiper blades.

We had a few rain days in high school. The schools will pre-emptively close when there is a large storm inbound.

What are you working on today?

The plug and coil on cyl 4 (passenger side rear) is fun because of the battery location. I was an idiot and made the positive post into an arc welder for a couple seconds since I didn't want to take the battery out like I usually do.

What are you working on today?

76,xxx something I think? Plugs are cheap so I change them sooner rather than later.

What are you working on today?

Did spark plugs and a coil set on the Mustang last night. Had a random funky idle and I figured this was the cheap easy fix before going further. I used the Ford Performance M-12029-M50C coil kit which is literally 8 Motorcraft coils and coil bolts for less than dealer cost. Used the latest...

2020 F350 6.7l diesel- oil change at dealer gone wrong

Oof, those 6.7s are unobtainium right now. The last few I looked up had something like a 8-9 month lead time.

Do tire places still frown on tire sealer?

When I worked at Sears, if we had a tire where we knew there was sealant in there we were supposed to inflate and deflate the tire I think 4 times to help vent fumes. Then we were to have rags ready by the tire machine to clean up the inevitable mess. Now this was when TMPS was still not super...

What powers the ac compressor on an electric vehicle?

Also of note they use a unique oil, not regular PAG oil. Ford uses a POE oil in their systems.

Anybody else get a brake booster recall letter from Ford?

Yup, we have done it a bunch of times for people. If all the ducks line up Ford will send a check either to the dealer or to you directly. Nothing moves fast with the mothership. More than once when I have had shops call for these and I casually ask the mileage since I know there is the...

Anybody else get a brake booster recall letter from Ford?

There has been an extended coverage on the brake booster for a while. However a lot of vehicles fell out of it by time/mileage.

Just be happy your bottle wasn't leaking. The past couple deliveries I have received have had a bottle leaking. The smell was.... breathtaking.

Why are OEM tires so bad?

We charge $85 for the mount and balance in order to be somewhat competitive with the Big Brands and America's Tires of the world. Most tires are done by lube techs who are still paid double minimum because they have their own tools. It is more of a loss leader in order to upsell work that pays...

Why are OEM tires so bad?

That is a program run by a company called Dealer Tire who handles tire distribution for multiple car lines. We use them for Mazda. Basically you have to sell 3 at regular price and the 4th for a dollar. Then the dealer has to submit the RO to Dealer Tire who reimburses the dealer the cost on...

Why are OEM tires so bad?

At that point we are still losing money. Techs have to be paid double minimum wage in California if they supply their own tools, which in our county makes it around $32/hr. Our normal door rate is $210/hr so we are technically also losing out there.

Why are OEM tires so bad?

The factory Pirelli P-Zero tires on my Mustang, along with the 2 replacement sets I have put on there have the Mercedes "MO" symbol on them. They are being replaced with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S once they get down the wear bars.
