Have oils made it to the point where even the cheapest oil on the shelf will provide long engine life? I feel like we are splitting hairs here looking for differences between oils. What do you think?
How do you feel about using this oil for commercial lawn equipment. I have been using it with zero problems I just don’t have time to keep up with all the new oils on the market and I’m wondering if there is anything better I should be using?
The mower is used for commercial lawn care. I want to know which alternative oil filter I can run on this engine. preferably an oil filter with more capacity than the factory filter. Thanks
Typically grease with moly is used when metal is sliding verse say wheel bearings, so I've read. So I'm wondering if moly grease would benefit a commercial mower that has a greaseable belt tensioner? Or the hydro controls?
Does anyone know where to get one? My van has the slot for it and the oversea versions come with them, but if I check autozone, they say it isn't available. 2015 ford transit 250 with the ecoboost 3.5
I've always ran rotella or delo 15w-40 or syn 5w-40 in our commercial mowers. I've been reading a lot on the new diesel oils having to meet new standards etc and that some oils aren't rated for gas and diesel anymore. It has me kinda confused because I don't know a lot about all this. So does...
I have a 2015 ford transit with 20,000 miles(owned since new) with the 3.5 ecoboost. I've read they are hard on oil and that magnetec is a good oil for them. I only saw Castrol edge in the black bottle at autozone when I was there getting some other things today. I always buy my oil at Walmart...
My wife's car with 60,000 miles. Well maintained since new. No issues. Been running oennzoil platinum 5w30. Change it around 5000 miles normally. Wanting to try something different or better. Post your thoughts. Thanks
I run all exmark mowers with kawi engine and one has a kohler. Used commercially all day every day. I'd like to stick with one brand that I can buy bulk to simplify the oil change process. I change oil on some mowers once a week lol. We put a 3-400 hours on them each season. I was thinking about...
So pretty much everything I own has a motor on it. I'm constantly changing oil in something. I try to use the best quality oil for all my engines since I feel quality oil is cheap insurance. I own a landscape company in GA and it gets pretty hot in the summer. As of now, all my equipment has...
It may be an unanswerable question, but what oil has the most technology at the moment. Is the nature gas oil new technology from pennzoil? Or maybe some of the extended change intervals from Mobil 1? Also what about the new 0w20-30 weights for advanced fuel economy?
Can someone tell me the best grease to use on a commercial mower? It's a new mower so I have been using lucus red and tacky, but it seems there are better ones out there. I have no clue what is compatable with the lucus red and tacky.
Thanks
