Test drive a Tesla Model 3 first it will make that BMW feel very old. BMW 3 series is the most switched from car for Model 3s. Ive had many BMWs, and I'll never own another. They fall apart.

Well said, although the gap will continue to narrow as infrastructure builds out, charging speeds increase, and battery density increases. Only a matter of time.

Also just realized I can charge the Model 3 on my existing garage circuit (dedicated 20 amp, NEMA 5-20) at 7 miles per hour. That is plenty for now. Delivery is "within 2 weeks"! I'm also getting 10k miles (or 1 year) of free supercharging.

It's a good looking car (except the ugly fake grill) and will sell well to existing Audi owners due to it being very similar to ICE Audis. However, it is quite inefficient and lacking in range compared to a comparable Tesla.

Geothermal and hydroelectric run all day and night, and California (and North America as a whole) have plenty of both. Those are the two we should be pouring resources into, in my opinion, as they don't require storage and have extremely long service lives.
