Could be a organomanganese compound either in the oil or gasoline. Those leave orange/reddish/reddish-brown/purple deposits. People used to have MMT (Methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl - octane improver) fouled spark plugs in the past. Those had rusty red deposits.
