I bought the car used about 10+ years ago. I have to believe that the fuel filter has yet to be changed.

Hi, A few months ago when trying to start, the car would crank over but not start. When I turn the key off and turn back on, the car would fire up. This happen about 2 more times over a 3 week span. I took the car to the mechanic where the problem did not replicate. Mechanic said it could be a...

I live in MD. The VVT is new to me. I dont do towing, the biggest payload would only be hauling a ton of wood pellets. If the consensus is to stay with 0w20 any preferred bran? Im used to having earlier 2000 cars and can run anything in them

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse idle hunting 2.4L

Hi Need some opinions. Backstory: One morning almost a year ago the car would start and then instantly shut off. Replaced tps sensor which fixed the problem. Few months later engine light came on and it turned out to be the iac motor. Seems like every month or two thr idle hunting returns...

    Castrol GTX

Besides PYB, looks like my best options to try would be GTX, Mobil 5000, and Valvoline Maxlife. Last time I used Valvoline (white bottle), I found that there were black specs of debris in the bottom of the jug. Only noticed when I went to put what remaining I had in the my push mower. I've...

    Castrol GTX

Thanks, would be either 5w30 or 10w30. With PYB car just doesn't feel as smooth at the 2k mark. I know some of this is just from the car being used. Was just going to try Castrol to see how it does
