I read it as 10k miles too lol yeah OP is good on a 6k mile interval for sure. Just keep an eye on the oil level every so often on the dipstick and use a quality filter.

The same thing happened to me on that pricing error with Walmart on the Castrol Edge Euro oil a month back or so. I ordered six jugs and received three with one of those three leaking the same way.

I think it’s a regional thing. My local Walmart has been stocked to the gills with all flavors of Valvoline Restore and Protect.

This is exactly how my local Walmart has looked for the last few weeks on the filter aisle as well. Oil side looks about normalish.

What’s wrong with it? I’ve never used it myself, but I thought it was a good oil?

Yeah, same here mostly. It’s mostly adults driving the kiddos around on this one because they’re in the 4 to 6 age group. Even with the fouled spark plugs the engine still ran pretty well, but it was very noticeable when I installed the new spark plugs as it seemed to have more response.

Yeah, that may just be the nature of these engines.

My 2002 Ford Ranger 3.0L only has 122k on it and it gets driven 65ish miles a month. I dump the oil at one year starting last month. It only gets driven to do truck stuff because of the bed.

I stopped using them in my 02’ Ranger when I joined this site and was made aware of better offerings elsewhere.
