Home inspector flagged multiple neutrals on single lug in breaker panel

I was on the buyers side of this situation last year. My insurance was requiring me to have the double lugged neutrals addressed by closing and the antiox on the mains or they wouldnt issue the policy that my lender then required to close. I ended up switching insurers to one that asked for it...

(B58 X3 M40i) Should I spend twice as much on Motul X-Clean+ for my first oil change

In my 2020 X5 wB58 and dad’s F150 3.5 ecoboost I’m using whatever is in stock at Walmart at the time between Mobil 5w40, Mobil 0w40 or Quaker State 5w40. I’m in Houston and have a similar daily commute but long drives on the weekends.

    Denny’s drive-thru

I went in to Denny’s for lunch a month ago here in NW Houston where its booming and most restaurants are busy. This Dennys didn’t have many guest. My burger was terrible and overpriced so I don’t plan to return. I wouldn’t be suprised if they shut down soon as well.

    FRAM Full Synthetic 0W-30 | 3,000 miles | 2018 Mercedes GLC 300 | Mileage 70,000

Why 3k-4k intervals going forward? You are upgrading the oil and the 3k run on the fram oil didn’t show any concerns like fuel dilution. Bump it up to 5k miles at least for the next OCI.

1st time apartment renter, is this white mold?

Check all your walls, ceilings, closets, etc for wet drywall. As others have said, if your humidity is higher inside that out then there is a big problem hiding somewhere. Can you see your A/C unit and confirm it’s not dumping water inside instead of draining properly?

110 charging in the real world

I had a 2014 Volt and 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. For a long time I only charged with 120V because I didnt realy need anything more. The only time it would have been useful is if I was coming home on a depleted battery but needed to turn around quickly for another trip. I think I could get...

    Anyone have a Volt?

I had a 2014 Volt and put around 70k miles on it before selling it to a coworker back in 2018. My coworker left the company but still has it the last time I talked to him.

Solar Attic Fans vs Wired vs None

Not that this changes your conclusion but I would think the fan would run for longer than an hour unless you are setting the temp pretty high or your attic is well ventilated as is. Also it seems these companies charging thousands for the solar fans are making serious margins. They costs about...

Nice. I’ve been wanting a small truck as well but was thinking about a Maverick. Do you mind sharing what you paid relative to MSRP?

    An argument for 5k OCI

Just checked my dads truck and he’s at 310k on his 2011 F150 5.0. OCI’s have been 8-9k miles and every other oil change a new fram ultra. Most oil changes have been with supertech synthetic but also some valvoline, pennzoil or others thrown in when rebates made it worthwhile.

Why-o-why are we still stuck on 256GB SSD's

I was really annoyed a few years ago when I received a new laptop at work with a 256 gb ssd a drive while my old one had a traditional type with 512 gb. We store all of our files on a server or dropbox.com but I liked having all my dropbox or box.com folders sync to my hard drive for working...

Toro riding mower with Courage engine, bad buy?

I think you are mistaken. Toro is a publicly traded company. Ticker is TTC. MTD is part of Stanley Black and Decker, also publicly traded. You may be getting Toro and Troy Built mixed up.

Anyone Using a Cordless Walk-Behind Battery Operated Lawn Mower?

I've had the Kobalt 80v mower for a couple years now. It has plenty of power and I can mow my yard approximately 3x before recharging. It's easy to raise and lower the deck and is easy to push around. I bought the non-self propelled version. My only complaint is that it doesn't do a great job of...

What possible use for this narrow industrial lot being auctioned?

I would put solar panels on it and work a deal to sell power “behind the meter” to the large building next door. The company I work for has a customer who developes industrial rooftop solar sites and large carport solar sites in Maryland and surrounding states. They seem to be successful at it...

Opinions of 1999 era 5.7L Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon?

I just want to echo everything here. My 1998 C1500 is in mint condition with 85K miles on it. I keep it in a storage unit near my house and when I take it out for a cruise, I often feel lucky to make it back. For a while it felt like every time I drove it something needed to be repaired. The...

When you feel like a sucker…. ( A loan story)

I purchased my Outlander in November 2018 and paid it off in February 2019. The dealer arranged the financing through Wells Fargo, and I had zero issues. With online access and electronic payments, I’m not sure what could go wrong. I had my title in hand within 2 or 3 weeks of payoff.
