2009 JSW 2.0 CRD TDI Castrol SLX Pro LL03, 10k

While the Al looks on track in comparison to the UOA I posted for a 5k run, the Fe is pretty high indeed. It be interesting for you to try any other VW 507 to compare. I am sold on the LM product.

wensteph, I should soon have my UOA of LM Top Tec 4200. This will have been my fourth OCI in 20k miles. ( an absolute death sentence at the TDIClub ) The UOA will be my first run of Liqui Moly after abandoning the Pennzoil Ultra Euro L. I am done with my 'rinse' phase and should take this...

Factory fill castrol, 9678 miles, 2010 Jetta TDI

Factory fill is not known to be Castrol, as mentioned it is speculated to be Fuchs. QP, many current UOAs on the TDI forum show the exact same regarding Potassium in the factory fill. Those who strictly follow 10k maint. show this to normalize. Blackstone is not know to report low fuel...

RLI BioSyn SHP 5w-40 HD, 5000 mi, 1996 BMW M3

d00df00d, I do not feel that a CJ4 is the best bang for the buck, I feel it is the best choice period. Look at TIS for your model year, at that time the heart of the specification was ACEA A3. For this age and class of vehicle, the specification is stll the same, ACEA A3. Your model year...

RLI BioSyn SHP 5w-40 HD, 5000 mi, 1996 BMW M3

I've worked with Terry on my 1996 318i, multiple UOAs... I've only posted one if I remember correctly, and again if I remember correctly, the link to the pdf is now broken. ( apologies, I'm now a supporter of people keying in their report ) While my 318i is by no means an M3, the oil section...

RLI Biosyn 5W-40HD in 3.0L Touareg

To report a correct Oxidation number and to thus know if it is a high reading or not you need a clean FTIR from a virgin sample of the oil in question. I've done business with Terry many times and I would fully expect him to foot the bill on this one if he did not have the proper information...

Mobil 1 HM 10W30 and 10W40 is now SN

Already discussed and confirmed: Thread Long story short... short supply push of API SL only ( it used to be SM ) for HM 10W40 while SN was being staged. Now shelves might have some of the 'older SM, temporary SL or new SN'. I now have two new jugs of SN HM 10w40... from Walmart. They still...

All versions of M1 HM now API SL Only

I finally received word from my colleague. This was a 'Katrina' style supply issue but VERY minor and having only to do with specific formulation supply. The M1 10w40 HM version available now should be API SN and ACEA A3. The SL only version I mentioned was only pushed once and should be gone...

Oil Suggestion for 2011 Jetta 2.5L

I've love to tell you to run an API CJ4/SM oil, but with the currnet emission system on the new VW gassers, I'd stick to a spec oil. SAPS come into play even in a gas engine. Dealer Castrol, M1 Ow40

All versions of M1 HM now API SL Only

Went WM to pickup m1 hm 10w40 for the BMW and noticed that all the jugs where labeled API SL and no ACEA A3 approval noted. Noted that the quarts still labeled with ACEA A3 rating. Then I noted that the 5w30 version was SL rated, jugs and quarts. Went to Pep Poys, same story, all HM verssions...

Which Dell laptop good for future Windows upgrade?

Any Dell Lattitude is a good buy. All other Dell laptops are not worth the money, other brands would be better. The Lattitude has a LONG business cycle, many Fortune 500s are standardized on this cycle. Also aftermarket parts such as LCDs and keyboards are easy to find in addition to the TON...
