I drive for Uber and Deliver Pizzas

eljefino: No though I have thought about it, if I could have a pizza oven in the back, I would be rich, I keep my car really clean but theres a faint smell of pizza which makes passengers crave it, I could get $5 a slice I'm sure, lol

    The Best Cheap Filter

I drive 1000 miles a week all stop and go, lots of idling, taxi and delivery. So I'm changing oil every month and it is an expense, I can find oil on sale but don't know which bargain brand is the best, I've been using STP and so far so good but if there's a better one for the same price, I'm...

I drive for Uber and Deliver Pizzas

I haven't posted in a while, but I since got rid of my 1999 Corolla oil burner and have a 2007 Toyota Highlander 2.4L, well with needing more money I drive for Uber about 30 hours a week as well as deliver pizzas 30 hours a week. I put on about 1,000 miles a week and the car uses 1/2 qt between...

    My Oil Choices delivering pizzas

Just a quick update, I changed my oil to Quaker State Defy 3 weeks ago and only had to add 1/2 qt at the 1700 mile mark, I'm at 2,100 now. That's a vast improvement, less than half as much burn as before, I'm not saying QS is the cure I mean, I've changed the oil 5 times in the last 6 months...

Real life differences in tire size

So they're basically the same but the 185's handle better and the 175's are a bit better on gas? Yes I pile on miles and some roads are like Iraq. Others are that really pebbly asphalt used in fancy communities, so even with rotating every 5000 miles I go through tires.

Real life differences in tire size

Its getting to the point where I am going to need tires for my Corolla, stock size is 175/65/14 or 185/65/14. I'm wondering what are the real life advantages or disadvantages between the tire sizes. Basically just seeing if there is a benefit over the other.

Strange electrical problem with '04 Corolla

My '99 Corolla will do the same thing just in standing water, it is the belt. Just be careful in the downpours.

Ticks when it needs an oil change!

I notice the Corolla doing some of the same things slightly rougher idle, a little ticking on hard acceleration, but I guess one of the positives about having an oil burner is I'm topping off regularly and can hear/feel the difference of new oil. I can also feel gas differences, I find it...

    Decals, Bumperstickers

I really like motor oil's marketing tools and logos a lot. The Pennzoil stickers in old garages, or the Gulf or 76 decals. Anyway does anyone know how to get your hands on these kinds of things? I'm sure there are collectible vintage ones that cost money, but I'm thinking there's a way to get...

    My Oil Choices delivering pizzas

I already changed the PCV valve even though it seemed to be working. I have over 2000 miles on the current VML, MMO combo. I'll take it to 5000 and drain this will be the 4th drain at that mileage so things should be cleaner. After that I think I will go with QS Defy 10-30 for 7500 If its...

    My Oil Choices delivering pizzas

Thinking about those clogged holes and oil flow, would a thin oil be better at cleaning flowing through the holes? My only concern with thinner oils id I do drive 100 miles a night 3-4 miles at a time, and I let my engine idle a lot. I'm afraid of putting to big of a beating on a thin oil...

    My Oil Choices delivering pizzas

Thanks for all the input. I am running some MMO now to see if I can clean things up maybe unclog those holes, I just don't want to go crazy with additives and the like. I will keep trying different HM oils on sale until I find the one which consumes the least. I'm thinking about QS Defy next...

    My Oil Choices delivering pizzas

OK I bought a 1999 Corolla back in February and have since put on more than 16k miles. It currently has over 206k and runs very well. The one problem is I'm burning a qt of oil between 1000-1250 miles. It has a 4 qt sump and I add 2-3 qts in between my 5000 mile oil change. I'm currently using...
