Quote: Wouldn't there be a transfer case attached to the manual transmission? That would probably need something different. I just picked this up for my girlfriend and have not even put it on my lift yet so I will check.

    paint protection film

Doing the clear shield paint protection film is an art, just like professional window tinting. We do a lot of it at my store, my clear shield and tint guy has 15 years of experience doing this and makes this look easy. Sometimes he even makes a goof requireing him to start over.

Volvo S80, 2.5T. Oil and filter input wanted

I saw no maintenance record for that so I was thinking of taking apart the pcv system and cleaning it since its unconventional compared to my dodge ram. Probably going to change timing belt here pretty soon, book says 120K but I'm a preventative maintenance freak.... Thank you.

Volvo S80, 2.5T. Oil and filter input wanted

I did not notice a Pure One filter for that car. One thing to note: when I changed the oil about 800 miles ago, it came out like mud, but the filter had no goop caught in the pleats. Just an observation....

Volvo S80, 2.5T. Oil and filter input wanted

Hey gentlemen, I surf around here a bit and rarely post, just absorb. I just picked up an '04 Volvo S80 AWD with the 2.5 turbo engine. Runs like a swiss watch, drives equally well for 105K miles on it. Previous owner did the Volvo recommended 7500 mile OCI's done at a valvoline quickie lube...

    Advantages of Rust Proofing

Hey guys. I read this entire thread and noticed a lot of opinions on a lot of things regarding rustproofing, both spray oil and chemical, namely Krown and Ziebart. I happen to own a Ziebart Franchise in Albany New York as well as a specialty fuel business. When rustproofing is desired, all the...

Since changing the oil type inthe engines, the ticking at startup has gone away so that leads me to believe it is not the duty cycle purge solenoid.

Always use 5W-30 and puralator filters. As many 4.7L owners know, this engine likes to rattle the lifters a lot at start-up, both mine...

Thanks Mckay, I will see if I can find that oil. Since I change my oil fairly frequently, are there any less expensive alternatives that have worked for you?
