Really hard to find the 505.01 spec, have only seen VW 505 00, will look into the Penrite as it says VW 505 01, easy to come by here and a decent brand.

I am on 15k or 1 year apparently, manual just states Specs are bound to change and look at VW website for the current spec lol. Currently I have ENI I Sint 504/507 in it for about 8 months 9,000km.

I have a 2008 non DPF 2.0 BKD PD injected motor no DPF mk5 golf, would a 505 5w40 spec be fine? Or am I wasting the extra $40 on 507 spec?

My 1.2 Turbo direct injection motor uses a VW 504 spec 5w30, maybe try VW 504 spec oil? Right now I am using mobil 1 esp 5w30 which meets that spec.

i used liqui moly until it became hard to find in my area, it is the best oil I have used so far, drove the car for 10,000km with that oil, no sludge at all and the oil was dark, this is in my 2011 Skoda Fabia 77 tsi and the oil i used was the toptec 4200 5w30.

I used shell helix ultra extra 5w30 in my skoda, sludged up really bad after 10,000km, switched to liqui moly toptech 4200, used that after 10,000km no sludge, great oil.

Thank's was just a little worried since they are not a big blander, at least they outright state they are not approved unlike Nulon.
