I let my truck warm up for about 10 to 15 minutes reguardless of outside temp. I don't care how much gas it uses idling, I want to be warm when I leave for work! so for me its a non issue, my opinion starting it up and immediately driving off in extreme cold temps cant be good for anything

its everybody on heres choice what to buy! im gonna stick with fram and have piece of mind!!! nobody on here knows who is telling the truth or not so if the op says it has 20k on it I believe it. and I will stick by with what I said on another thread, fram makes better products than anything...

I would rather have the old extra guard back on it than the new Purolator!!!!! they are junk, don't believe it just look through the torn media threads.

im convinced these are the best filters on the market hands down, especially after seeing the posts of the Purolator syn filters. my opinion is fram is far superior to anything Purolator makes.

I just cant see why anybody don't like these tg's, all of em always looks super good when cut open. purolators cant touch the quality of these filters. I will never run a Purolator again

I don't get it, where are extra guards so expensive? my walmart here in nc they are less than $4 for the eg3600!!! tough guards are under $6. I use em with confidence

01rangerxl the redline has only been in for about a month. what I mean by worn is the synchros seem to hit a little when shifting and fifth gear has slight whine( redline did quiet it down some) and it has a new clutch and slave cyl. same issue before and after clutch replacement.

I wander if the neons have the brass synchros like this trans does? the redline in there now works decent after it warms up but its a little stiff when cold. and this stuff is expensive.

I have redline mtl in it now, but was reading about the +4 so it got me thinking about it because I aint heard much about it. the trans has 166000 miles on it and is worn. I have been trying different fluids to see which is the better (bandaid) for it until rebuild time.

hey ethangsmith I love my capri, I use to run mine a lot at the dragstrip but haven't in yrs till recently. you just don't see a lot of these cars anymore. its a blast at the strip to play with.

hey guys like the title says how would this fluid do in this trans and has anybody used it in a manual trans? I am told it is highly friction modified so would that be good or bad for a manual trans that specs mercon fluid? thanks for any replies

just noticed today my walmart now has royal purple oil and my opinion its too high ($38 for 5qt jug) no thanks its prob not THAT good, especially for 5 to 6000 oci like I run.

all these (cheap made frams) don't seem to have media tears like all these (high quality metal end capped puros), quality control with puros now seems to be quite frankly a joke!!! so I will stick with my (cheap made frams) and rest assured the media is doing its job and not torn!!!

yea the fram haters on here are a little ridiculous sometimes. that filter is fine and I wouldn't hesitate to use any fram filter. that (third grade project) looks great and definatly has NO TEARS, and looks better than most all puros on here lately.

use any fram, I switched all my cars to the tough guard. the extra guard will be fine too no matter the fram haters say. I will not be buying anymore purolators again after these media tears. frams will work fine

yea its just a ford ranger with diff grille and fenders, is the regular advance auto antifreeze the regular green? will the jugs say regular green on them? I have never really paid any attention to the labels. thanks for the replies.
