Thanks for the heads-up about RL being sold at Advance Auto, buster. I've been using RL 5W/30 & 40 in my modified WRX, and have been just a bit puzzled by the results, viz., higher than expected wear #s. Could you elaborate briefly about there being more to the UOAs than meets the eye?

Scotto: Does your Saturn use much/any oil between OCIs? At one time, I had a '91 SL and it consumed oil like crazy: usually 2-3 qts/month. When I raised the oil consumption issue with the Saturn dealership, they said it was normal for that engine; something about the cam design.

I'll second that sentiment! I'm also very interested in the new Legacy GT, and am considering the aforementioned as the replacement for my WRX.

With the exception of the occasional long drive to a relative's home, most of the Forester's trips are lights. On a brighter note, I think I may have convinced my wife that it's good for the car when we take the "scenic," i.e., longer, route into town.
