    oil contamination

That was the reasoning for the question, I just didn't want to compromise the oils quality by being stored around household cleaners etc. Some of that stuff is nasty and I had heard of volatiles being able to seep through plastic, not the liquid but the vapors.

    oil contamination

I was wondering if contamination of new oil in a sealed original container can be contaminated by storing the oil near your regular household cleaners? I store my oil in the house on a shelf above where my wife stores her cleaning products, any thoughts? Thanks.

    valvoline vr1

Most synthetics handle high temps better than conventional oils so the thought was if I get stuck in stop and go traffic and it's 95 degress out maybe the oil would hold up better if using a blend.

    valvoline vr1

The reasoning for the blend is I thought using the synthetic and dino in a 50/50 blend would give it a little better high temp rating and not cost a whole lot more.

    valvoline vr1

What would everyone think of mixing valvoline vr1 synthetic with valvoline vr1 dino in a 50/50 blend, the analysis from the company are pretty much identical, same zinc/phos, tbn, calcium etc. Doing this would save a couple bucks if you have more than one bike, what do you think?

    oil blending

Basically what I want is to know if you use 20/50 oilfrom one company can you blend the oil weight down to a 15/50 using a combination of their 0/30 5/30-10/30-10/40- 15/40, it would be the same oil just the different weights to make a 20/50 out of this oil, they don't offer it in a 15/50 so I...
