If it were me, I'd go with the Corolla. I suspect it would be more dependable than the Chevy, I like the looks better, and my own personal opinion, would outlast the Chevy. Lately, I've developed a fancy for a GM 3800 grampswagon.

All you need to do is look at all the auto/body parts along I-45 in Houston to realize inspections are necessary. I know there are downsides to it, and Nebraska did away with them years ago because it became a license to steal, but there are some real beaters around here that need to be monitored.

I just put a rare earth magnetic drain plug on my car and I'm looking forward to the next OC so I can see what it pulls out. This magnet is so strong that when I went to install it, it slipped out of my fingers, and when I thought it fell into the drain pan, I found it attached to the oil pan...
