    Nokian One 195/65R15

I miss that size. Perfect for passenger cars. Was used on the Prius until they gave in and made it look good and upsized the wheels. My VW Sportwagen handled plenty sporty with it as well.

Carvana is now in the new car business.

I thought you could buy Hyundais on Amazon? For now, all they're doing is removing the dealership experience. No savings, though. Get me factory direct pricing and built to order and I'll be interested.

The industry is WRONG: your best tires belong up front

Just call it "drifting" and all is good.

    Tire storage question

I used large contractor trash bags and vacuumed most of the air out and then twist tied them closed. Overkill but the person that bought that winter tire setup later benefited.

Towing with a New Land Cruiser, Truly Irritating

Toying (ha - pun was not intended) with an LC purchase later this year and those would be my preferred tire set over any ATs! Other vehicles could be a Taco OffRoad w/ the hybrid, or potentially a Ranger - we like the hybrid Toyotas with the 2400w inverter output as that could be used to power...

I can't decide what oil to put in my car after 6k posts here...

Dude. Stop eating out so much! If you put 1/10th of the amount of anxiety-inducing research into your health as you did your oil change, you'd have a much different [better] priority to focus on. I'm saying this as someone who will also fixate on minute details that mean bupkis in the bigger...

Buy Oil Now! - per Lake Speed Jr

I don't know him, so I can't hate him personally. I do hate social media and "influencers" because they are rotting the world's brains through endless, unneeded "content". Contributing to The Decline of Western Civilization (check out that doc, BTW) is not contributing to society, IMO.

Starting to Plan for New Car

I believe Ford Escape PHEVs are having huge Ford and dealership discounts right now. Would be pretty hard pressed to beat some of those deals for a PHEV. Double check if your state/city/county and/or local utilities offer rebates or incentives also.

Anyone Here With A Reverse Mortgage

Reverse mortgage can make sense - the HUD HECM ones are legit. Was the right call for my dad a few years back, and during much better interest rates, luckily.

    Finally replaced my spare tire.

Correct on the hybrid AWD Sienna. It is a small-sized spare and I just recently grabbed a cheap Rav4 18" wheel and a used tire to match our slightly upsized 235/65r18s for our Sienna, so we'll actually have a full size spare. Will just throw it in the Yakima Skybox up top and hope to never need it.

Nokian Outpost APT or Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail for '16 Renegade Trailhawk?

Outpost APT or Firestone Destination AT2 or Yokohama GEOLANDAR CV 4S Lightest weight, 3PMS rated, and have the "aggressive" sidewall look. Pretty sure all the other recommendations in this thread are heavier weight (worse city MPG). Why are K03s even being talked about? I don't see them in the...

Bought new wheels for the Tahoe (again!)

bigger is not always better Glad my Maverick has 17s on it; slightly bummed our Sienna has 18s and not 17s.

    2021 Sienna - Can I use 0w-20 permanently?

We're thinking of buying a Scamp to tow with our Sienna Woodland, and I thought that upping the oil to 0w20 would be a good call. This thread reassures that. We've already lost some mpg up sizing our tires (235/65r18 from 235/60), but gained 1/2" clearance. With coil spring air-helper bags...

Nokian One HT vs Michelin Defender LTX M/S2

I highly doubt the Michelins are $400 better. I wouldn't hesitate on the Nokians.

20” wheels on an AWD car? Why?

I miss our old (2021) Prius Prime and my 2016 VW Sportwagen - 195/65r15 Great, cheap tire size! My Maverick has 17s from a Bronco Sport, and our AWD Sienna has 18s. Would have preferred 17s, but not worth the cost to hunt down the LE wheels. Recently upsized our tires and gained 1" diameter, so...
