Nope unfortunately not. Only 1 shop here in Uruguay sells the Toyota T-IV. The Total Fluide XLD FE comes in 1 litre containers and the tech pdf says 'meets the requirements' for Aisin/T-IV etc Always a confusing topic.

I have a chevy aveo 2011/2012 and mine has started doing the same. If I leave it to idle for a minute or 2 it's fine, but if I put it into D or R straight away when cold it makes a grinding noise. It has almost 100,000 kms. I changed the atf and filter at 70k. Worth changing the filter and atf...

Sump removed and cleaned. New filter in. 3 litres drained. In the following 7 days I did a further 2 drain and refills using 2 litres each time. Toyota t-iv used.

Checking the oil today its looking pretty dirty. Original from the factory. The original aisin is a yellow colour I believe like zf 6hp fluid. I can imagine I'll need to do 3 drain and refills at least. So I'll buy another 4 litre can of Toyota t-iv. Really expensive here about 20 usd a litre...

Also confusing info - Manual for the Aveo 2011 in English specifies T-IV but mine in Spanish 2011 (same 4 speed tranny) specifies 3309. Is this just for geographical/business reasons? I know Mobil has had most of the market here in the last 10 years. Trannies are the same aren't they?

Well that is contradicting information. I understood Dexron III should not be used for T-IV/3309 filled transmissions. My chevy manual says JWS3309 or Total fluid IIIG. Total have said: Total Fluide G3 is a current brand name see attached this product is GM Dexron IIIH approved this replaced...

Total en Canada just got back to me and said: fluidmatic mv = jws 3309 = t-iv = old g3 We have an additional sheet with a more complete list will send tomorrow. Bit of a minefield as Dex III is not suitable for T-IV transmissions BUT G3 specs says it's recommended for all automatic...

By the looks of it G3 is just a version of Dex III by Total. Looks like the MV is not equivalent at all. Back to ordering Mobil 3309 from overseas I think.

I can only get hold of G3 here which doesn't list T-IV/3309 I see now on the specs. But MV says it's a replacement for G3. This is my major concern about using G3 and not the new MV. Have the changed their formula to make it compatible with T-IV now and G3 wasn't?
