That sort of thing didn't happen on US cars in the 50's and 60's, you know back when there were automotive engineers.

So now you have to ask yourself, how did they ever change a tire back before they knew what a torque wrench was? Gosh watch the videos of the mechanics in india or ? That rebuild all sorts of things and never use a torque wrench for any of the bolts etc.

So how accurate is the torque wrench? Yours may tighten it to 17 ftlbs, your friends may tighten it to 22, when both are set to 20.

If you have the proper tools, and don't have to pay someone to do all the work. But then time is $. If you think DIY cost you nothing. Then spend a week or more at your normal job for free then.

Like I've been saying. All the now engines are crap, and made to be disposable.
