Is Pennzoil Platinum Euro L 5w30 still available? It has a HTHS of 3.5. Local Walmart always had it.

Both still exist. The 10060 is equivalent to a PF-48, and the 12060 is equivalent to a PF-64.

Before they renamed it to Dexos R Supercar, Corvettes required Dexos 2 0w40. So technically, it was a diesel oil.

I think they discontinued the extended life version of Super Tech.

Don't know if the filtering specs are the same, but the construction is different. The black one appears to be a PG with coil spring and metal center tube. Blue is made by Champ with leaf spring and e core.

There's nothing wrong with either of them. Some Champ made filters have the extraneous top plate.

PF64s started looking like that last spring No internal changes. And the top plate served no real purpose anyway.

Wouldn't the end caps swell up a bit with oil?
