    German Castrol 0w-30 HTHS>3.5??

    German Castrol (GC) production stopped??

    As I was informed from local distributor that GC has ended its production. Is this news true or not? Will there be a replacement for that? Waiting Waiting Waiting for reply. If currently stopped in German, I think in US it must be consuming stocks... Cry... Any one has news about that that...

    A3/B4 or A3/B3 HTHS question

    Just walked through Castrol Syntec product data sheet. It reads Castrol Syntec 0w-30 meets A3/B3/B4 spec, but in the following data HTHS only reads 2.9. All syntec series only 5w-50 reads 3.9 higher than 3.5, others all lower than 3.5. Back to the list of specs met, 0w-30 (GC), 5w-40, 10w-40...

    Suitable oil for VAG turbo charged engines?

    Viewed most specs like ACEA ILSAC API, they do listed requirements on viscosity at 100, 40, 150 (HTHS). How how shall I determine whether this oil will be friendly to my turbocharged engine? Only meet VW spec by handbook would be ok? Or, are all turbocharged engineer should consider high HTHS...
