    75w90 auto oil in LU

You can and it will be fine ....unless you get some water intrusion from a leaky shaft seal caused by running over some fishing line. Ask me how I know. The marine lower unit 75W90 will include some emulsifier additives I believe.

Oil Filter Going 2 OCI Thoughts

Been doing exactly as the OP says for about 30,000 miles on my 2016 F150 with a 5.0. I use an XG10575 every other oil change and 5 or 10W30 conventional at 5000 mi. intervals. Never needs any make up oil. Lot of highway miles towing fairly light boats.

Post Your Latest (Motorcycle) Oil Change!

Found a 2019 Honda Fury last week, a guy had bought new and parked in his garage since then. Bike had 47 miles. He had been starting it occasionally and it ran fine. I bought it, aired the tires, checked other fluids, filled it with Shell Premium 93 and drove it 50 miles home. Checked again...

When is it safe to move?

SR5, I agree with you , but there are some CAFE coolaid consumers around who still think engines can't operate without 0W20.

    Anyone riding?

Who else notices used GDI oil differences?

Had a 1026 Ford Fusion with the 1.5 Turbo for 4.5 years. Loved the car overall, but right away I noticed how black the oil was at 3000mi. I run my truck(F150-5.0) 5000mi, but never past 4000 on the Fusion. It never used any oil though. Yeah, I know you can't tell about the oil from...

    Anyone riding?

Yeah, last few days have been out riding , it's been in the mid 70's in the afternoon and I just got my new to me Harley Dyna Switchback. Haven't ridden in many years and trying to get used to it. So far so good, love it .

Can a forced induction engine actually run safely on 87 octane?

Had a 2016 Fusion with the 1.5T, ran it for 4.5 years on 87 octane as daily driver. Great mileage and power for DD. Oil would get black as tar in under 4000 mi, OCI never went above that. Never any fuel smell in the oil though. Now have a new Mustang 2.3 Ecoboost as wife's DD. Have tried 87 and...

    Ecoboost mustang long term reliability

My wife's Mustang only has a few thousand miles on it. I was very satisfied with the 1.5 Turbo in the 16 Fusion, we drove it for 4.5 years without issue. Enough so to buy the Mustang Turbo to replace it. Great mileage for road trips, about 32 MPG(calculated at fill up), at 70MPH down along the...

    Gas mileage increase after break-in?

IMHO, mostly placebo and computer learning. It's in the way you drive, tire pressures, and seasons. Have never seen a measurable increase in MPG during and after "break-in" that could be repeated tank after tank.
