Hi Folks, Picked up a brand new Accord and currently has 5,500 miles and has yet to receive an oil change. Honda's oil life meter has it pegged to around 40% right now. According to the dealer, I shouldn't bother going with a full synthetic and that Honda's semi-synthetic is the perfect choice...

So far I have been changing the oil around every 5k miles. Maybe I will add a little bit of MMO next time prior to the OCI, but I agree the engine is great!

I run M1 15w50 in my 2.3li Turbo as well for almost 10 years and it's been great.

btw, while in the isles of Wal-Mart I was pondering if I should use the Rotella or Del Vac 15w-40? Are these not appropriate for passenger vehicles or engines that see higher rpm's than diesels do?
