What Filter Is Everyone Using On Their 4.6 Fords ?

I use the Motorcraft FL-910S on my 2009 Crown Vic. The FL-820S will not fit my 4.6L. I think the 910S is an excellent filter. I have used it exclusively for 40,000 miles (changing it every 3,000) and have not had any issues with it.

So School me on an "07 Grand Marquis

These cars are excellent! We had a 1996 that we ran until 270,000 miles and gave it to a friend and it has over 300,000 miles now. It gave us very good service. I have a 2009 Crown Vic police package and love the car. These vehicles will run 400,000+ miles with routine fluid and filter...

    Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax

I used to be a huge fan of Meguiar's products until I tried Turtle Wax Ice liquid and spray wax. The Turtle Wax's shine, durability, and ease of application are superior to Meguiar's in my opinion. Give the Turtle Wax Ice a try; I think its well worth it!

    F-150 5.0, Mobil 1 5W-20, 7k miles

I would continue with the Mobil 1; changing your air filter should help bring the silicon down. I would change it at 5000 miles on the next run and resample, that should bring the iron down a bit. Mobil 1 is all I use in my Crown Vic. Excellent oil! Enjoy your Ford F-150 and Happy Thanksgiving!

    Motorcraft unavailable.Mobil 1 a good option?

Mobil 1 is the only oil I will use in my Ford Crown Vic. The Motorcraft is a good oil too, but in my opinion the Mobil 1 is superior all around. Stay with the Mobil 1 for the life of your truck.

    HT/HS M1: 0W30 and 5W30

My guess would be the 0W has better base stocks to meet the 0W requirements which increases high heat endurance (and low temp performance as well).

    Dodge unveils 2015 Charger Pursuit

All I have heard on the police package Charger is they are fast, but just do not hold up like the Crown Vic Interceptor. I was so sorry to see Ford stop production of the CV; I love my CVPI.

Safe to use up my 5w30 in 5w20 spec vehicle?

If you are still under warranty, I would stay with the 5W-20. Otherwise 5W-30 would be fine.

Two year review of '09 Crown Vic Police Package

Overview: I have now been driving my 2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor for two years. I wanted to share my experiences and overall impression of the car. I bought it with 62,000 miles and 2,020 idle hours; it now has 89,000 miles and 2,147 idle hours. During my ownership I have used...

    My new 2015 Challenger

Congrats! I really like the halo turn signals and led lights on the rear. Very nice! Now for the most important question...what oil/filter combination are you going to use?

    0W20 oil change intervals?

I change the 0W-20 Mobil 1 in my Crown Vic Police Interceptor every 3,000-3,500 miles. It probably is too frequent, but I really enjoy changing the oil. Hoping to reach 400,000 miles!

    Honda CRV mpg

My best MPG in the Crown Vic Police Interceptor was 24 on the highway. I usually average 18 in a city/highway mix.

Need a pre wax polish recommendation.

I am a huge fan of Turtle Wax's Ice liquid wax. It lasts for quite a while despite my car sitting outside all the time. The shine is very impressive also. I used to use Meguiar's NXT liquid wax, however it doesn't last as long the the Turtle Wax Ice.

    Mazda 3 Skyactiv 2.0L MPG

Those are some impressive mpg figures! I get about 22-24 cruising on the interstate in my Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Sometimes I will crest 25 mpg. I do miss my 4 cylinder for gas mileage, but the Crown Vic is so much more fun to drive.
