No telling how long that old oil was run. I’d definitely cut open that filter if you are willing, should be fun to see! I’d run the 5w20 for a normal OCI of your choosing and then switch over to 5w30 next time.

Have you got a basic scanner that will read fuel trims? A bottle of Redline in the next tank of gas can’t hurt.

Bought the slightly larger Sonic (RS turbo of course lol) for my daughter’s first car a few years back. Pretty neat little cars for what they are. She drove it for a year or two with little drama beyond the usual valve cover leaks etc which I addressed during a plug swap.

Surprised how much “worse” Chevron gas is. Also surprised that ExxonMobil Premium outperforms Shell Premium in a number of ways.
