    RP vs. PP 5w20

I would have passed at that price because I was able to pick up 5 quarts of PP with a P1 filter for about $15 at AAP. I ended up stocking up with 50 quarts!

    BMW 15k oci

ok, back to my friend's 550i. As I mentioned earlier, he is going to stick with 7,500 oci's for now. He's a pretty agressive driver and will likely take the car to a closed track as well as some auto cross events. His car has about 55k miles on the odometer. I have two questions I'm hoping you...

    BMW 15k oci

Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on BMW's 15k oci recommendation? My friend has a '07 550i and I think he should change the oil more frequently...maybe go 7,500 oci at the most. I get the feeling if BMW didn't include free maintenance, they would recommend 5k/7.5k for normal/severe use...

    When to get a UOA?

^^^ A couple of reasons. For the MDX, just as you said..I mainly want to see how long I can go in between changes. Also wanted to see how well the engine is running. As for my TL, it's supercharged and I plan on taking it to the track two or three times this summer - more of a driving school...

    When to get a UOA?

How soon can I get a UOA? I've just changed my own oil for the 1st time on the family cars. My previous oil changes were done by Firestone. I picked up some PP with P1 filter for the wife's MDX and RL oil and RP filter for my TL. I'm going to get the sample when I change my oil but wanted to...

^^^good point. Yes, it is an aftermarket supercharger. I believe the MID is calibrated for a stock engine, not to mention dino oil. I was plannig on ignoring the MID and changing out at 5k or 7.5k...still undecided. I was leaning towards changing it out at 5k and sending a sample out to be...
