    VOA AMSOIL CVT - TAN 2.5 ?

TAN 8.x looks too high to me. SAE paper on Dex IIIH: The specification on the GMOT is that delta TAN (difference in total acid number compared with the fresh oil) at the end of the test does not exceed 3.25 while the specifications on GMCT are that delta TAN cannot exceed 2.0.

    VOA AMSOIL CVT - TAN 2.5 ?

Hi, See below Blackstone's VOA results of AMSOIL's CVT virgin fluid: PPMs: B 420 Ca 733 Mg 4 Si 3 Na 4 P 840 Zn 18 KV100 7.3 Flash Point 390F TAN 2.5 Additive pack looks quite strong but could it be the reason for higher TAN than any other sent to public, like 1.5 or less? Probably it...

Amsoil to add 0w40 euro formula

EFO probably is not twice better but AZF 0W-40 is for sure far better than Edge or M1 because of Amsoil own top quality additive pack like all Signature Series oils have - I would use AZF in twin turbo engines like AMG or BMW instead of OEM 0W-30 / 5W-30. EFO will probably be listed soon as...

Amsoil to add 0w40 euro formula

Regarding 5W-30, Amsoil AEL low saps had Noack 7,8% and HTHS 3,7 in gray label and now it is 10% what is MB229.51 max allowed. Amsoil AFL 5W-40 mid saps also had Noack 7,4% in gray label and now it is 10% too but MB229.51 listed. Approvals cost money so blenders use cheaper base stocks...

Amsoil to add 0w40 euro formula

5W-40 EFM is MB 229.5 approved so if EFO uses the same additives pack (I suppose third party already MB approved) then it will be listed too: https://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolisten/229.5_de.html

Amsoil to add 0w40 euro formula

Their 0W-40 AZF looks very nice but the new EFO 0W-40... with so high Noack is just a copy of 5W-40 EFM - exactly the same specs but a 0W-40 (reason for even higher Noack than the EFM) + higher viscosity index - typical for 0W-40. Many cheap oils like this one in Europe. Disappointing..

    Amsoil SS 0w-40 now available.

Sometimes they present engine test of the SS oils results too - the ones used in a process of API / ILSAC certification. http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g3115.pdf http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g3320.pdf 4 ball wear test is not a key (agree - COF would be more technical) but shows a difference even...

    Amsoil SS 0w-40 now available.

0W-40 SS should perform far better than old fashioned Liqui Moly Synthoil 0W-40 with much lower TBN<10, HTHS 3.6, missing friction modifier, much lower PAO content (about 20-40% now) and Noack about 9%.

    Amsoil SS 0w-40 now available.

Approving meens freezing the current specification (including base oils) and their Signature Series (SS) oils are being 'fine tuned' quite frequently - it is their big adventage. Even when they are blending more and more mineral base stock like 10-30% in the new 0W-40 or 30-60% in 0W-20 - 10W-30...

    AMSOIL 5W50 now for GT500 & BOSS 302 & Track packs

I suppose AMSOIL guys would easily develop great 0W-40 Signature Series one too with Noack The same with 10W-60 for e.g. older BMW M - having good 5W-50 AMR already and great base of the new 10W-60 Dirt Bike - just a question of business case in my opinion ;-) Pablo, do you know the new Dirt...

    AMSOIL 5W50 now for GT500 & BOSS 302 & Track packs

Better real synthetic base stock and high VI can do that and it all even with evaporation under good control. Really impressive parameters, without dirty zddp load like most 5W-50 'sport' 'rally' 'race' etc. Waiting for it in Poland!

    AMSOIL 5W50 now for GT500 & BOSS 302 & Track packs

In fact the 5W-50 AMR with its 5000cP flows better at -30C than all the rest of AMSOIL 5W-20/30/40 oils XL, OE, EU spec (except the ASL of course). High VI helps too. I wonder why not rated ACEA A3/B3/B4, Porsche A40 etc?

    Archoil products

In fact AR9100 is based on nanotechnology potassium borate on ester matrix - much better technology than just hBN or even nano hBN and it is water resistant. They have AR9200 which is organic (not cheap synthetic one) 70nm nano WS2 PAO based oil additive but their top friction modifier is...
