    Amsoil Filter Disappeared (Toyota 2.4L)

Hi Everyone, I just checked the Amsoil web site and the Ea filter (EaO10 I believe) for the 2.4L Camry (and I assume Rav4, etc) 2AZ-FE engine is no longer listed. Only the MANN filter is listed. Does anyone have info on this? Thanks!

Switching to synthetic & Engine cleaners

Hi Gents, I've been getting some good advise from the PCMO forum for my situation and now I may need some Additive Help. I have a 2004 Camry, approx 200,000 kms, 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine, no oil consumption currently running Toyota 5W-30 with OEM oil filter. Nearly all of my driving is short-trip...

Is there info for Canadians on the procedures and costs of getting VOA/UOA's? Thanks!

Imperial Oil (Esso) XD-3 0W-30 question

Hi Everyone. According to the Esso XD-3 Extra Data Sheet, the TBN of the 0W-30 is 7.7, which seems a lot less than other oils (especially the PAO base stocks) it seems to be regularly compared to. Am I missing something here, or just interpreting the data incorrectly? Also Can I use this...

Switching to Synthetic & OCI impact

Anyone have experience with Motomaster Formula 1 full synthetic (Formula Shell Synthetic according to the MSDS) offered at Canadian Tire? Its on sale this week for a good 10 bucks less than PP.

Switching to Synthetic & OCI impact

So what would a good HM oil be to use? I have a bottle of Canadian Tire Formula 1 High Mileage, but not much else. All of this time I've been considering synthetics only! Thanks again for all of the great explanations!

Switching to Synthetic & OCI impact

Unfortunately, UOA's are not in the cards at all for me. Is there a danger from switching to Conventional to Synthetic without a bridge OCI of High Mileage. Will the seals be that bad?

Switching to Synthetic & OCI impact

Hi Folks, I'm hoping to get a good recommendation for my particular situation because I've reached a crossroads and don't know what to do. OK, so I have a 2004 Camry 2AZ-FE 4-cyl with approx 215,000 kms on it. Previously was driven 90+% on highway, now it is 75-90% city only of less than 7 km...

Help me choose for my high mileage Camry

I believe, but correct me if I'm wrong that only up to 2002 they were prone to sludging. The last owner has the oil changed monthly with fairly decent conventional/high mileage.

Stay or switch (dino to syn in 04 camry 4 cyl)

Since I'm in Canada the cost structure is a little skewed. GC is approx $10/quart PP is $32-36/gallon (4.73 L) PYB approx $17-$20/gallon (4.73 L) M1 approx $36-$42/gallon (4.4L) M1 extended is close to $55/gallon Some food for thought

Stay or switch (dino to syn in 04 camry 4 cyl)

6 months probably less than 4000 miles. I'd say stop and go is not terribly excessive. Winter starting and warm-up is an issue since my commute to work is approx 7 km (4.4 miles)
