    Sunroof drains

I had a leak this year in my 2013 Altima that I thought was coming from the sunroof. After weeks of dealing with seemingly random and hard to track leaks, using wire and compressed air to clear the sunroof drains, II finally resorted to a garden hose and found the leak. My problem was the...

Need help/advice servicing 13 altima cvt.

Recommended service is at 60K I believe. I took mine in to the dealer to get serviced as I believe it had some sort of action needed by a scan tool that resets "Fluid Life" or something like that. I may be wrong, but I did it anyways.

    Brake Squeal on Rear Discs

I plan on taking the wheel off this weekend and taking a look at that side. I'll take it all apart, bleed it some more, and then put it all back together. If that rust isn't cleaned off by braking after that then I'll just get a new caliper and see if that fixes it.

    Brake Squeal on Rear Discs

Hello all. I have a 2013 Altima that has been making a brake squeal under LIGHT braking (Never on hard) for quite a while now. I believed it was coming from the rears so I went ahead and got new rotors (AC Delco Pro Anti-Rust Coated) and new pads (Akebono Ultra Prem) to put on the rears. This...

Win 10. -. External hard drive issue.

Have you tried disabling your AV to make sure it isn't blocking access to external drives? Have you also tried browsing using an elevated command prompt or powershell? I'll also say different editions of windows 10 should not matter in this case.

Are monitors still "better" than TVs?

Yes. Pixel Density. Adjustibility Refresh Rate choices (Gsync, freesync as well) Connectibility. It all depends on what you plan on using it for, but yes. Monitors are better than TVs.

    Let's Talk Gun Safes.

I have a Homeland Security safe that I'm happy with. Holds everything I want in it (especially with the rifle rod system). Plenty of room for expansion .

Wife's 2015 Forester Loves to make oil disappear

Well we took the car in this weekend and had them change the oil and filter (700 mile OCI, woohoo). They want us to come back in after 1200 to do a recheck on the oil level to see if the car is experiencing an issue. They did say that they didn't find any leaks and everything was installed...

Wife's 2015 Forester Loves to make oil disappear

Hey all, My wife is currently driving her 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5 non turbo with around 46K miles on the clock. At around 30-Something thousand I started doing her oil changes for her, since I do them on my car anyways. I use Pennzoil Plat 0w-20 on her car and go 6-7K between oil changes. I...

    RAM question

Quick question is yes. Windows 10 is pretty good at caching/preallocating RAM based on the amount available. Install more RAM, you'll most likely idle with more "in use" than you did before. As far as the most bang for the buck upgrade, go with others say and upgrade to an SSD.

    Recommendations on rear brake pads?

It's about time for my 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5SV to get new rear pads I think. Last trip to the dealer had the pad life at "yellow" (fronts were green. Just the nature of the beast with new cars I'm told) and I've noticed that the closer I get to 40K miles the more noise my rear brakes make. Any...

Every afternoon @ 2pm, my workstation is hobbled

Easy to normally figure out, you just need to do one of two things: A. When it's happening (or before) open up task manager, go to the processes tab, go to view-Select columns and add PF Delta. Generally this will give clues as to what process is accessing the hard drive so much at the time but...
