i run the rotella 5-40 in my nissan and it seems to do well and like i said i keep hearing good things about rotella in bikes. i think ill stick with amsoil one last change and do a little more research before switching.

anyone running Rotella T (blue bottle)? been hearing lots of good things on some bike forums but just thought i would ask on here. my bike is a 2004 Kawasaki zx6r(636)millage is 25,500, currently running amsoil 10-40 syn bike oil. thanks

changed the oil yesterday. runs quiet starts well and haven't noticed any negative effects. Also flushed my tranny and started running Redline MT-90 seems to be good stuff. shifts very smooth.

its running 10lbs stock is 7. has some bolt ons and a shelf map ecu

thanks for the input everyone. ive got some rotella and a purolator filter in my shop right now. couldn't find and GC at the stores around here... also have a UOA kit here to see how the M1 has been doing.

thinking about switching from M1 5w-30 to Rotella 5w-40 in my sr20det. asked around on my Nissan forums and no one really knows much about it. just wondering if anyone thinks it would be a good or a bad idea to try it out? M1 has worked well for me so far but its pretty thin and my engine is...

rotella also makes a 5-40 synthetic that sounds pretty good. other than the viscosity of the rotella think im safe running it? no one in the nissan world seems to run it nor have many thought of it because its for diesels.... but ive heard a lot of good things about it on dsm and subaru forums...

im getting to have pretty high millage on my sr so i would like to run something a little thicker to try and help with any loosed tolerances.i usually run 5-30 Mobil 1, maybe I'll just go to Mobil 1 10-40 synthetic? any other suggestions?

looking into switching to Shell Rotella synthetic i think its 15-50 for my higher millage daily driven sr20det. just wondering if anyone else has run it in there sr? its got close to 100k on it now and i drive it every day and hoss on it sometimes. never any track use though. maybe next year...
