Oil Change interval for an off-road vehicle?

if it's full of gas and water, the oil level will rise. When that happens it should be obvious.

Oil Change interval for an off-road vehicle?

I'd go by fuel used. shouldn't be har to calculate how much fuel a normal used vehicle consumes per oci. when it has done that amount, change the oil.

Increased Oil Consumption After Switching to Valvoline Restore and Protect — What’s Going On?

First time I chugged down 9 espressos I thought my heart was going to explode too. I could feel it skipping beats, no bull.

2020 Ford Ranger 2.3 EB 35,000 miles total; Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 4,000 miles used oil analysis

I find it hard to believe that a trace of fuel dilution drops the vicosity by 20% from new. Most likely the dilution is higher but there can and likely will be some mechanical shear aswell. But no harm so far.

Another Deeply Personal and Meaningful Valvoline Restore and Protect Journey

Most engines are not prone to wear, but there are exceptions. And for me, stuff like DLC or Nicasil or any material that doesn't work very well with every possible oil blending additive concerns me, and I'd rather not have it in my engines. Being a horizontal engine, it's likely to consume...

How much extra is 35k fewer miles worth?

depends on the tyres I guess. 85k might have just gotten new, the 120k might have nearly worn? that only applies if they're decent tyres that you won't want to get rid of

    2023 BRZ (FA24); Redline 0W-40 vs Mobil 1 0W-40

I said that because a lot of modified cars are actually well trashed rather than well sorted. But 1.1G is is not in the realm of impossible (also not at roundabouts if it's quiet on the road). I hope the owners are informed that they need to keep the oil above maximum, which I also do when I...

    2023 BRZ (FA24); Redline 0W-40 vs Mobil 1 0W-40

it wouldn't be an issue with a forrester... they come with UHP tyres also, michelin PS4 and a toyota badge

    2023 BRZ (FA24); Redline 0W-40 vs Mobil 1 0W-40

no, hairpins in the alps take longer than that and a well setup car with UHP tyres does 1.1G

    Prinx HiSeason 4S

The cars that came on my MG (chinese car) are Maxxis (taiwanese brand IIRC) and are surprisingly fine. I say surprisingly as in my experience factory tyres aren't very good in the wet and these are. Wear seems to be ok too, I'm likely to get 60, maybe 80k out of them. I doubt the tyres get...

Which engine would last longer/ require less repairs in a 2025 Chevy Suburban

The first car was handed down to my sister, with 110k. I did replace a rear main seal on that, I forgot. She drove it for a while until it got traded in on a new car, and they sold the car on as I'd seen it for a feaw years after that. that was a 1.1l 4 cylinder Citroen. Managed to get it up...
