I have to agree that this is a better choice than seizing the engine, especially since he did it with a relatively clean and new synthetic oil. Just my opinion though.

Ok, so is this (from Amsoil website) "SAE 5W-30 XL Synthetic Motor Oil" an excellent oil, better than Mobil 1, and fits my warranty? And finally, who is a member here who sells it so I can support them? :)
