i think the auto-rx might still be cleaning so I might do another clean and rinse and start using a more robust oil like amsoil DEo 5w40 and see what happens. this car is stock and gets 45 mpg on a bad day. It may see some untaxed fuel here and there when it's not on the road of course...

i use fp-60 and have yet to have an issue with gas. the oldest i've had around is a year old and no problems. my father has had a bunch of issues with gas without fp-60.

i haven't had any problems with the new high alcohol content gas. Alot of people i know, including my father (who always uses stabil) have had problems with the new gas sitting, not me with fp60. i'll try fp-plus when i run out. i have also never had a diesel fuel gelling issue using FP-60 but...

i'm not about to dump used (clean, ie no gas or coolant) oil in any of our diesel vehicles, but what about the house's oil furnace? How would the burner fair with say 5 gallons in every 300 gallons of fuel? How exact is the injector in a furance? thank you

i have been using FP-60 in all my gas and I have yet to have a fuel problem with stuff sitting. my dad uses stabil and he has had all sorts or problems with fuel sitting. I finally talked him into FP-60 and gave him some. not very scientific but I'm happy

i guess LC20 use has gone by the way side here. I still have almost a gallon so I'm using it. when i change my wife's 07 duramx's allison external spin-on filter every oil change I top it off with atf (dex VI) and put an ounce of LC20 in. any thoughts on this? thanks

Just want to make absolute certain that Rotella 5w40 synthetic is a group III oil. I want to use this in a vw TDI during an Auto-rx cleaning

we use a mil spec 30w in our 18 and 16 cyl. alcos on the boats (uscg)

when I end up finding a jetta wagon tdi to buy i would like to run auto-rx through it (I've used it before in other diesels w/ great success) what's the deal with using Auto-rx in the oil required for the PD (04+) TDIs, does it work with the 505.? oils? thank you -Jason

i think this oil is one of the best kept amsoil secrects. i've used it in my 95 powerstroke up to 13k. I'll see if i can dig up a UOA. It didn't leak as bad as the AME and started well in the cold.

i'll 2nd the shop-vac trick. it works great! I've done it a few times with leaking drain plugs
