Need recommendations for clamshell bearing puller

I ended up with the puller from Rigid Axle. The weld seems to be more uniform with other models I have seen....but not the Vevor. Will post pics once it arrives.

Need recommendations for clamshell bearing puller

I may have answered my own question. If you select the 1-star reviews on Amazon and look at the pics, it seems the consensus in the last year or so is the top of the tool breaking off where the main bolt threads into the top. Looking at the more expensive Rigid Axle version, there is clearly a...

Need recommendations for clamshell bearing puller

Or the twice as expensive Rigid Axle but maybe there's a difference in the metal...who knows.

Need recommendations for clamshell bearing puller

I wish I had it once before, and after not having one, I'm going to opt to purchase one. I hear what you are saying, but I do plan on using it a good handful of times.

Need recommendations for clamshell bearing puller

I'm fine with spending a couple hundred $$ on one, but if a Vevor is built just as well as the Rigid Axle then I don't mind saving $100...:) I don't know what is good, but I also want the tool to work, not tear up bearings or be of low quality. Will be used mainly for pinion and carrier...

Any microwave techs here? Magnetron question.

Yes, about .35 ohms between terminals, and 80 ohms to ground so definitely not infinite. Oh absolutely. I discharged the cap as well.

Any microwave techs here? Magnetron question.

You are referring to these terminals in relation to ground correct?

Any microwave techs here? Magnetron question.

I removed the magnetron and found this little guy. Might be why this was a floor model years ago...lol. Is the magnet isolated or can it cause a short to ground. I would assume it hasn't moved since we owned it but someone has been inside it and it has worked for a number of years...but...

Any microwave techs here? Magnetron question.

Our OTR LG microwave (LMVM20333BM) last time we used it, made a laboring hum for about 5 seconds after startup, then seemed normal for the next 3 min. Fan didn't stop, platter kept rotating, but didn't heat the food. After some poking around, I found the high voltage fuse was blown, also I...

What aftermarket keyfobs are reliable for Toyota?

Thanks, worth a try...but I think that was the same price my dealer came down to. The fob price does not include the key blank or programming.

What aftermarket keyfobs are reliable for Toyota?

I called the dealer today to get a price on a spare keyfob for our 2014 Highlander, along with the small key that slides into the fob....and it was just under $500. 😵‍💫 Almost $300 for the fob, $65 for the tiny key blank, $45 to cut it, and almost $100 to program it. What planet are they...

    2015 Impala V6 exhaust leak

The flex pipe doesn't appear to be the part that's leaking, but the junction of the flex pipe and the Y pipe. The flare of the OE Y-Pipe looks like it has the rot

    2015 Impala V6 exhaust leak

Using a smoker through a spark plug hole, I found where the leak is. This is just down from the forward converter....can this be repaired or does it need a new Y-pipe? Has anyone welded this area? Doesn’t look like a fun weld given the two materials. Is the flex portion integrated into the...

Any good bead breakers that won't scratch wheels?

Something that I can use an impact on or air that has some type of rubber protection pads, basically so it doesn't damage the outside clear coat of the wheel. Hoping to spend less than $200. The Vevor looks well made but I don't see how it won't damage the clear coat. Something basically...

    Welding helmet recommendation

Thank you for all the info....I'm sure the kids will want to watch so a second helmet would also be a consideration. I currently have a cheap HF helmet that was given to me but it's definitely lacking for my taste. I might end up with the Hobart and also grab the Yeswelder now, then add the...

Rebuilding a floor jack, Craftsman 50145, ran into a problem

I've owned this jack for about 20 years, Sears 3 1/2 ton, been great but started to slowly leak down and it lost the initial rapid pump. I bought the seal kit from lazzar and I didn't mess with the 'Do not Adjust" screw, but I did replace all the seals in the main piston, jacking piston, the...

    Michelin Primacy LTX opinions

These would be a used set of wheels with tires having little to no wear. I have the Defender LTX now, not the (2) and they definitely wear well.

    Michelin Primacy LTX opinions

Looking for a spare set of wheels and I see a number of them fitted with these tires. I'm a Michelin fan but never owned a Primacy. For a vehicle the size of a Suburban 1500 are these a suitable tire, mainly for a quiet, smooth ride? Will have decent sidewall, size is 265-65-18.

    BITOG approved borescope for 2024?

I was using a Deepstech for awhile, still do if I need to get somewhere over 3' away, but this has replaced it. The fact I can enter a spark plug hole and look back at the valves/combustion chamber is very nice...
