If they split Hillsborough(Tampa) and Pinellas(St. Pete) in that graphic, I feel Pinellas would take the crown (unfortunately)

Cylindrical battery chargers - faster charging with fewer batteries?

BTW this guy has some good info on batteries and chargers. he also wrote a ver good piece of free software called test controller that I use all the time. Website is dated and hard to navigate but it has a lot of good info. https://lygte-info.dk/info/batteryChargingNiMH%20UK.html here are...

Cylindrical battery chargers - faster charging with fewer batteries?

well, when you need to charge 14500's, 18650's, 21700's etc. in addition to aa, aaa, C and D it makes it worth it, imo. BTW I charge eneloops up to 1c all the time, but usually 1.5-2a. I have had some in service for many years, a good portion of my eneloops are ver1 sanyo

The Sodium-Ion Battery Is Coming To Production Cars This Year -CleanTechnica

From what I understand these are already in production and have some vehicle manufactures lined up to purchase. Personally I was wondering chemistry and if they use Nickel. In addition looking at that voltage curve I posted 2 things jump out at me. 1. The curve is not flat like LFP 2. The cell...

The Sodium-Ion Battery Is Coming To Production Cars This Year -CleanTechnica

Hina, CATL, Higee and Highstar have announced their cells, so these are coming soon. Cycle counts are a little on the low side, probably better for solar than cars at this point discharge curves look good, especially for cold weather

well there goes about 1500 bucks :(

At first I thought it might be a crowbar, but I think it some kind of filter to block ac across the inputs. I was having some weird oscillation errors on the load at high amps before it smoked. The cap was probably bad. I'm going to rebuild it and cross my fingers that it is the only damage.

Anyone think Ford is going away?

I like my truck and plan on keeping it for awhile longer. However I severely dislike the electronics. I would trade it in for a hybrid superduty.

Found the issue, not sure what this little board does yet, I have an idea but I need to trace it out. Cap is vented and resistor obviously was very hot. For those of you who noticed, I took the cover off the transistor on the end, it is not missing.

well there goes about 1500 bucks :(

Yeah KP184's have some issues, but I use them for quick stuff. The load that smoked was my expensive Amrel one. It was pretty old but it would do 150a loads. I bought it used about 5y ago and it was probably 10+ years when I got it.

The blue thing is a 280ah 3.2v battery cell. The thing that is smoking is a programmable DC load. It was my bigger version of this for testing battery capacities.

What age were you when you got married?

I was 29 (29 years now). Probably the best decision I ever made in my life. I'm one of the lucky ones. However I will say marriage can be hard work. I find mine very rewarding and my wife continues to be my best friend and my #1 champion (meaning #2).

Fuse did not do its job

Not sure at this point. It melted together so I still haven't looked at it. The issue was probably a poor connection to the fuse holder after the fuse. Poor dc connections get super hot in my experience. I actually use a thermal camera on my big dc batteries to check for poor connections.
