The next progression. Min Vs Syn.

Holy potatoes!, that is just disgusting, I cant imagine rimula XT gaining much market share at that price. Just as a side, everyone here raves about rotella (rimula XT?) and the good basestock and how it is the same as their fake syn; helix 5w-40. If it is, I sure wouldn't let it near my WRX...

The next progression. Min Vs Syn.

It has been rimula for as long as I can remember too, I wasn't saying it was ever called rotella, just that it may be rotella under a different name for a different market. Rick, you buy delvac in 20L drums for about $200? As far as full synthetics go you might find our GC equivalent here in...

The next progression. Min Vs Syn.

Francis, this oil is just easy to find but by no means would it be equivalent to rotella. I beleive we have rotella here, just under a different name; Shell Rimula ultra XT. According to shell it is a 5w-40 'synthetic' supreme performance, XHVI technology blah. blah......

M1 EP 15W-50 Goes Group III

Shannow Not good news to say the least. Especially when Repco is selling M1 10W-30 for $85/5L, which for you americans is about US$12/qt. Pretty bad value, even without GIII. Was waiting for an excuse to fork out for a bottle of redline. Buying Delvac by the 20L drum works out at about $50/5L...

    Redline Gear Oils

Hi Roger I beleive Redline 75w-90NS, Castrol Syntrax or Mobil SHC (replaced by Delvac branded gear oil I beleive) would be your best bets out of what is available in Aus. I've just swapped out Syntrax for Redline 75w-90NS in my WRX and so far the shift is probably a little better than what the...

M1 EP 15W-50 Goes Group III

Hello Tom Nj Ta mate, Appreciate you sharing you work here. Any chance Mobil Delvac 1 will grace your GC anytime soon?. This would be interesting as a few peole here seem to reckon this is a full PAO with lashings of ester.

    Australian - Castrol Edge 25w 50

Yep. Remember the BP coarse plus 25w-50 well. I was advised that it was the only oil a rotary should use. So I tried it once in the rx-4, but then found out about synth & semi synth, so started feeding it mobil synth s and eventually visco 5000. Man that 13B purred on that stuff, no plug fouling...
