    Cold pour test

Between 2010 & 2013 this Russian auto club cold-pured just about everything although the differences were not as easy to appreciate in their tests of very small samples inside a clear bottle (and many of the brands are not relevant to consumers in our market)...

Goodyear Assurance All Season = JUNK!

Mostly dissatisfied with Goodyear's - though no complaints about initial build quality - just poorly suited to my driving style and in my opinion just average wet traction even when new and diminishing badly with age even with still decent tread (meaning its because ofthe rubber type). Major...

    Tire Selection Process

I WISH I could do more research on tires and make purchases to suit my own tire priorities based on actual information. But lets face it, most consumers are not very discriminating to begin with, and they are pro to buy based on hype, branding and ambiguous ratings derived from esoteric lab...

Akebono ProACT vs. Raybestos Element3 EHT Pads (pics)

Wow, thanks to the guys who went back to update this topic with new experiences. I remember finding this then-dormant thread back in February when trying to research the EHT's knowing i would need to change front pads before the winter. Anyway at the time I found it difficult to source EHT's...

NEW NAPA GOLD 1516 CUT OPEN

Check out this picture, it's been on NAPA's Canadian website since last November representing a NAPA "Gold" 7356 https://www.napacanada.com/en/p/NGF7356?interchange=1 It doesn't look anything like the NAPA gold filter's I've used from 2006 -2016. I understand this is a fairly new part number...

    WIX 21516 ADBV Issue?

When I asked a few years ago the NAPA store manager closest to my area said only the Gold line was sourced exclusively from Wix, while Pro Select could be from any manufacturer, the buyers just order from whoever offers the best bulk price and it's labeled & packaged with the compatible NAPA...

Hey Canucks - Petro Canada Fuel Discussion

One theory, possibly a myth, is that in Ontario & Quebec the companies meet their regulatory quota of ethanol content sold exclusively in the greater Toronto & Montreal area because of the volume sold so they send all their ethanol blended gasolines to the stations in the those major markets and...

    Moog chassis parts?

Probably two thirds of the stuff for sale now is a re-box of something else. Brands are little more than licensing agreements now, the brand on the box isn't necessarily the physical manufacturer or even designer of that particular P/N, and even within the same manufacturer, different...

    Are My Tires Overinflated?

2 or 3 PSI is a very minuscule difference, chances are if you bought 3 different tire pressure gauges they might disagree by 2 or 3 PSI. The ones at gas stations which live outdoors and take abuse can easily be off by 6 or 7. In other words not a major issue to be 2 or 3 over.

Are there any live data metrics that can be monitored on a scan tool and checked against specs, which could indicate weather the car could use an Injector cleaning (at a stage befoe there are any noticeable performance issues)??
