    Switching From GC 0w30 to M1 0w40 - issues?

I've been using GC 0w30 on my Range Rover Sport(RRS) ever since the 1st OC after the OEM fill. GC has been holding up very well, and I'm up to 80k miles now. The UOA's have been good with very little wear. Extended the OC to 10k from 7.5K, with the UOA still showing that the oil was holding up...

    Ford Spec Oil

Could someone point out how the Ford spec works. My vehicle calls for a 5W30 WSS-M2C913-B (GF3 or GF4). I've seen other specs M2C9XX. Was wondering if a higher number is "backward compatible" or do I have to use a M2C913-B specified oil. Any suggestions on a good synthic oil with this spec...

Castrol GTX - Is it Worthy?

Just purchased a Range Rover Sport, the oil calls for Castrol GTX 5W/30 with oc's at 7500\6 month intervals. Is this a "worthy" oil to use or should I consider finding GC (German Castrol) or using M1 0w/30? Rather spend the money providing the dealer a better oil to use than use their oil...

    5W30 or 5w20 on 02 Acura TL-S

I have close to 105,000 miles on an 02 Acura TL-S. The owners manual states to use 5W20 and if 5w30 is used, to change to 5w20 at the next OC. At 75K , I switched over to Valvoline Syntheic 5W30. Would this cause any issues to the engine (living in TX). I've been changing the oil out every 5k...

    Water in Engine - 04 MB E500?

Just got an oil change done on the car at the dealership last week. While cleaning around the engine found out that the cap for the tube\dipstick was missing or not replaced. I washed the car over the weekend. I am concerned if any water got in. If any water got in, would this be harmful? What...
