    steering wheel options

I saw that. It's the correct physical fit, but it doesn't have the cruise control buttons. That seems to be the big problem. I've found a few sources for the ones without the buttons, but nothing with.

I generally don't like steering wheel covers, so I was trying to avoid that.

    steering wheel options

Hello all, I have a 2005 Chevy Classic with a deteriorating steering wheel (chunks starting to come off). The steering wheel is beige (I think Chevy called it "neutral") with cruise control. I do not have a leather interior. If I could get part number 22622836, I think that's what I would...

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

How do you not drop the pan? Do you have a drain plug?

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

Is this just plug and play, or do you need to program it to the other modules so that everything plays nice? I'm going to have to fight through your other instructions to figure that part out. I also need to see what I already have.

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

I read somewhere - and I wish I could find it again - that the 4-port beehive cooler and external transmission fluid radiator were standard outside of North America. Is that apocryphal, or can someone confirm?

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

The kit does both. The CVT "cooler" is more of a temperature stabilizer, doing both warming and cooling...

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

That's good to know because the BLE+ is a lot more affordable. I know CVTz50 is specifically for Nissan Transmisisons. What's the difference between Torque Pro and Carscanner?

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

That surprises me, because my research was leading me to believe that the OBDLink MX+ was the Cadillac of OBD dongles. I was also looking at the Veepeak VP11 and Veepeak BLE. I'm also interested in alfaOBD for my Grand Caravan, and they recommend the OBDLink MX+.

Looking for software tools for my phone/computer

So, let me set this up: My recent research into my Nissan CVT led me to CVTz50, and I've also learned about the existence of Torque Pro. I'm also aware of the existence of alfaOBD (which I believe is a Fiat/Chrysler thing). I'm thinking about all of them. So my questions are sort of specific...

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

No, but it's on my radar. Will the CVTz50 software check the firmware on both the ECU and TCU? And all I need is a cheap ELM327 compatible dongle, right?

So do you guys think the cooler/radiator modifications are a good idea anyway, or would you skip it?

Sanity check for 2009 Nissan Sentra CVT

Hello, I have a 2009 Nissan Sentra that my son drives. The short version: my dad bought it in 2009 brand new, but passed away within a couple years. I inherited the car, but it hasn't been driven much. It only has 53k original miles. I know that these transmissions were infamous, so I would...

    Kohler Courage surging issues

Mostly good now. So here's what I finally did. I found TDC on the compression stroke, and then moved the flywheel about 1/8 turn past that. I adjusted the valve lash on the intake for .005" and on the exhaust for .007". Those are the values in the service manual that I downloaded from...

    Kohler Courage surging issues

The spark plug is brand new. It has less than 10 minutes of run time at this point. Looking at the old one, it doesn't look white or black, just kinda rusty. It runs OK with the throttle all the way open, other than the surging and roughness. If I try to apply the choke or if I reduce the...

You are referring to the carb, right? I had someone on another site ask about the fuel pump, but I don't have one. My mower is gravity fed.

    Kohler Courage surging issues

Got a question - I know I need to set valve lash on the compression stroke. Should I be setting valve lash at top dead center, or just past TDC?

    Kohler Courage surging issues

Good question. I hadn't thought about that. I haven't mowed yet this season, and I don't really remember. What would it mean?

    Kohler Courage surging issues

I had to replace the carb about 2-3 years ago because it leaked gas, and eventually stopped working entirely. It surged before that, and it surged after that. Not saying I don't have a carb problem, but I guess it's not at the top of my list at the moment. Pretty sure it's a gravity fed fuel...

I don't have a guage. Is there any other way to do it? Thanks.
