    Oil filter confusion

You people keep telling me to go to the dealer but it's a distance from me. Walmart is closer. I ask a question and all I get is attacks.

    Oil filter confusion

I didn't ask this question for people to be telling me to use aftermarket oil filters. I asked if the Toyota oil filter 90915YZZN1 oil filter has the same thread size as N3 and if N1 will fit if it currently has N3.

    Oil filter confusion

STP oil filters leak and Microgard has poor flow. Fram, Wix and many other brands have poor construction.

    Oil filter confusion

I don't trust after market oil filters anymore. They are known for leaks and restrictive flow. I'm not going to risk losing another engine.

    Oil filter confusion

I recently bought a 2009 Camry Hybrid. It's had a previous owner and it's due for an oil change. I'm going to change the oil but I've run into a problem. The oil filter that is on is 90915YZZN3. When doing research sources say the correct filter is either YZZF1 or YZZN1. I bought the YZZN1 from...

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

It did not turn over at all. It would click once when I turned the ignition abd that's it. It would not crank.

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

They are supposed to last 300,000 miles or more. And a seizing engine is not due to mileage.

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

When I changed the plugs they had some black stuff on them. I think that was just due to the plugs being over 30,000 miles old and dirty and needing to be changed.

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

If coolant was getting into the oil from a failing head gasket the oil would be milky. But it's not common for head gaskets to blow in Toyotas.

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

Timing belt is every 60,000 miles with Camrys. There were misfires codes. I changed the plugs and wires. It got rid of the misfires for a little while then it started again but it would only misfire when the engine is cold.

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

It's a non interference engine. The timing belt breaking won't damage the engine. It broke last Summer and it started back up after the new belt was installed.

When it seized it made loud knocking and ticking noises before it quit.

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

My Mom had it before I did. It had 202,000 miles on it. I was having to add a quart of oil every 2000 miles due to a minor leak from the valve cover gasket. I never let the oil level get low. I used Mobil 1 High Mileage 5W-30. That's what's recommended for older Toyotas with high mileage. I...

Toyota T-100 what is the MPG for a 4x4?

I'm looking for an older Toyota truck but I want one with good gas mileage. Google says T-100s get 19 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highways. It doesn't say if that's for the 2WD or 4WD. Or is it the same for both?

    2001 Toyota Camry engine seized.

My 2001 Camry engine seized. It had oil in it and I changed the oil at the right intervals. I used the right viscosity. What else could have caused it to seize?

2001 Toyota Camry check engine light codes P0300, P0401, P0402.

I'm getting a multiple random cylinder misfire and 2 EGR codes on my 2001 Camry. It's not misfiring all the time but every now and then. When I reset the code it comes back on 2 or 3 days later and only when the engine is cold. I already changed my spark plugs and spark plug wires so that's not...
