All you wonderful members are very patient with me, thank you!!! Do I need to change the filter each time I drain and refill the transmission fluid? I know that might be a very naive question but I gotta ask it. I don't know if it's different than changing oil that requires a new filter each time?

I have an '02 Acura TL sType with 205000 miles. I've tried to be very good at changing my ATF every 30k BUT I am not certain that mechanics have used the Honda DW1 fluid in the past. It will this time as I've just ordered 6 qts to take with me to my mechanic.
