    So it seems consensus is that mixing viscosity and ratings from same oil manufacturer and type (in this case Pennzoil Euro) will not damage engine components and will still be able to safely achieve the OEM recommended OCIs.

    Same base stock same Manufacturer means additives are compatible but with different levels of dissolved or suspended solids.

    I’m only running Pennzoil Euro oils as the topic suggests. Mainly Euro L (low SAPS) and using top tier (shell) gas on both cars. With all due respect… I don’t see why LL-01/04 even matters if US gas is ULSG as everyone else suggests. LL-04 just has slightly less ZDDP

    Agree and forced induction engines have higher likelihood of oil accumulation in the intake system all of which is preventable with proper maintenance and inspection

    Running an oil separator with fully functioning PCV system will greatly help in Forced Induction engines. Also a good idea to periodically check/clean the intercoolers

    Full SAPS LL-01 has richer additives and therefore tends to be less picky on gas quality (mid tier vs top tier)

    One has the N54 (Z4 35i) and the other has N63 (M550i). I don’t track either but tend to get lead foot when first at a stoplight. I don’t plan to go over 6k per year on either.

    Hello, just wanted to consider the different BMW LL approvals. From what I understand LL-04 is low SAPS, so by mixing in 30% of LL-01 (full SAPS) is there any added benifit for gassers in southeast US? Assuming sulfur levels and additives differ by region or state. Thx!

    Any thoughts on mixing Pennzoil Euro L 5w30 (70%) with Penn Platinum Euro 5w-40 (30%)? One is BMW LL-04 and the other is LL-01. It’s for a BMW twin turbo driven in the Southeastern US. Is this advisable and will it hurt my engine? Can I still go the 10k mile OCI?
