OCI/FCI of Many Years But With Low Miles

Four vehicles? Given all the parameters and constraints you have described, I would change one each year which would be four years and six thousand miles. Not time, labor, or cost intensive. Not tempting fate. Good balance.

Optimal oil for a C6 Corvette?

    I use the old standby M1 5w-30 and a M1-113A in my 2009 LS3.

What oils did you use for carbeurated vehicles

Quaker State Super Blend 10w-30 with Fram filter every 3,000 miles. 1965 Oldsmobile 425 ci. I knew a guy with a 1965 Chevy 283 who ran only Havoline SAE 10 year-round. He felt the SAE 10 got into all the nooks and crannies better.

Ecoboost first gen , a bit confused with oil choice

I bought a 2011 F-150 EB with 156,000 miles that grew up on Motorcraft SynBlend 5w-30 and FL500s filters every 10,000 miles. Now at 161,000 miles on Rotella truck. So far trouble free.

    Motorcraft Full Synthetic

Two years ago I bought a 2011 F-150 3.5L EB with 156,000 miles. Truck had been dealer serviced with Motorcraft 5w-30 every 10,000 miles. Can't tell whether semi-syn or FS. Still going strong with no problems. Fingers crossed.

    Hyundai Engine Oil Selection

"the flickering oil pressure light at startup " When this happened to me, the dealership service tech had failed to seat the little pecker on the bottom of the filter firmly in the cannister port. I do most of my own oil changes and learned from his mistake to be very careful with this.

Maxlife - still the best oil for R/M seal leaks?

I was a skeptic on HM oils until I put PZHM in a leaky Ford Windstar V6. A miracle drug. Completely dried up a soaked motor. If I needed it, I'd use it again for sure. Can't comment on MaxLife.

Pennzoil Platinun/QS syn or Valvoline syn 5w20

QSUD gave me 200,000+ trouble-free miles in a Ford V6. Motor was spotless and used no oil at the end when the body rusted out from under me. QSUD noticeably quieter than Mobil1. QSUD is also very affordable, especially on rebate or sale.

Brake caliper locked up. Will it do it again?

This often happens when moisture gets past the piston seal on the rotor side. Whether that or from moisture in the fluid (sounds not since you've flushed three times in 120k), this won't get better on its own and it will get worse when you can least afford it. Easy replacement, not too...

    QSUD

I ran QSUD in a Windstar V6 for over 200,000 miles. Motor was quiet, spotless, and ran good as new until the body rusted out from under it. Couldn't ask for more from an oil.

    Need your falken opinions

Falkens wore out quickly for me too. Cost/mile too high. Handling average. Have been very impressed by Kunhos on our Santa Fe.

Let's talk moonshine: popular in your area?

How can there be any difference between moonshine, made from corn, and corn vodka i. e. Tito's. Grain neutral spirits. I have a bottle of Junior Johnson's Midnight Moonshine and am not impressed either way.

    Bluelink by Hyundai, Any Experiences?

Meh. My 2013 came with 3 years back then. I don't have the lock/unlock remote start etc. Monthly mechanical condition reports by email are entertaining, but don't tell me anything I don't already know. I liked OnStar with cellphone a lot. I don't think I'll renew Bluelink when it expires this...

    Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w-30

Ran for 217,000 trouble-free miles before rust ate the Windstar back in 2013. Valve train sludge-free and zero wear. Couldn't ask for better oil.
