Right. It looks like the older HDEO oils when 1300 was the norm.

ALS tribology was the lab used. The service is through Chevron lubewatch and they did recently move to the lab in Georgia. The lab was in Ohio but due to the new zinc trends in HDEO samples, the equipment is better suited to handle the samples in the GA lab.

It’s labeled a synthetic blend and with the oxidation number being a 12 I’m wondering if there is some GTL in there?

Switched my John Deere gator filter to a Supertech last year and glad I did. The dealer wants $12 for it now compared to $3-$4 at Walmart. American made, fits perfectly and cheaper.

This is a sample that was run 250 hours. The wear is lower than with any other 15w40 this truck has run. I’m looking forward to comparing it to the unused product.

Yes. That is correct. The correct zinc content for those two oils is supposed to be 1200-1300 per the manufacturers. The lab is saying that a high dosed sample must have run before these and left trace amounts which added to my samples. They said they will address it with the technicians.

Incase anyone wanted to see the samples with high zinc in them.
