American diesel trucks are considered light duty trucks anyways. Heavy duty trucks are semi-trucks, higher displacement engines etc. A 6.0 is a light duty engine.

I dont go over 5k OCI anyways. I see how this post makes me look cheap. I’m just curious if it’s a safe option if I can’t sell this stuff I have.

I have a bunch (18quarts) of Pennzoil Platinum 5W-40 Euro Oil. Can I use it in my 6.0 Powerstroke? From my research, it’s pretty robust oil. My EGR and Cat fell off already so I’m not worried about affecting those systems.

Mine is a 2008, so 15w40 is ok. I know the newer ones have some different hardware that doesn’t allow for heavier weight. Idk
